Llevo unos días dándole vueltas a como enfocar esta critica y aunque no lo tengo claro intentare explicar que impresión me ha dado.
Después de escuchar a mucha gente alabándola y diciéndome que era la mejor película de la saga, intente olvidar todo lo que me habían dicho e intentar disfrutar de ellas sin ninguna idea preconcebida.
Para mi "La comunidad del anillo" fue una gran película, me tuvo muy entretenido durante las casi tres horas de duración. "Las dos torres" me gusto bastante menos, se me hizo pesada y en algunos momentos realmente aburrida, aunque después vi la versión extendida y me gusto algo mas.
Dicho esto, tengo que decir que "El retorno del rey" me ha parecido algo mas que mediocre. Como puede la gente pasar por alto cosas que en otras películas serian imperdonables solo porque esta basada en un gran libro.
Yo no me he leído el libro (esta en la lista de los próximos desde hace mucho tiempo), y por lo tanto juzgo la película de una manera independiente a la historia en la que se basa. Solo como un apunte, me parece curioso que hablen bien de una película en que constantemente se diga, "es que esta parte no acabo de entenderla? por que aparecen en tal sitio si..." y alguien le contesta, "es que se ha saltado una escena vital en la que se explica". Por favor, si lo que quería era hacer un complemento del libro, me parece bien, pero juzgándolo como película me parece imperdonable. Se que la película habría sido larguísima si lo cuenta todo, pero creo que podía haber recortado algunas escenas laaaargaaas y pesaadaaaas como las eternas batallas y haber puesto cosas mas significativas.
Empiezo a explicar porque no me ha gustado la película y si alguien no la ha visto aun, que no siga leyendo.
Como he comentado antes me ha parecido larguísima y pesada la batalla final (final? Joder, si dura casi toda la película). Tanta escena rápida donde no se ve nada claro, solo espadas y gritos y tanto asalto al castillo me hace pensar que aun estoy viendo la batalla de "Las dos torres", se me hizo muy repetitivo con la otra película.
Algunos efectos especiales son lamentables, como el de Legolas subiéndose al ¿elefante?. Parecía la versión del juego de consola mas que la película. Si hay algo que no se puede hacer técnicamente sin que quede bien no lo hagas.
Como es posible que Merry mate al Nazgul mas poderoso con un golpe con su espada. Si, algunos me dirán que eso tiene explicación en el libro, pero... yo hablo de la película, y la película me da a entender que es un fallo garrafal. Un ser tan poderoso y lo matan con una espadita... en fin.
Patética toda la escena de la inmolación de Denethor II, sale corriendo en llamas y al atravesar la puerta ya aparece en el borde de la muralla a mas de cien metros de la puerta que acababa de atravesar, joder, debe ser la envidia de nuestro presidente Aznar con esas velocidades. Veo muchos fallos como este en el montaje de la película.
Saruman, gran malo de la trilogía, alguien lo vio en "El retorno del rey"? quizás es que me quede dormido pero yo ni lo vi aparecer. Como es que posible que deje colgado a un personaje tan importante como este sin explicación? Ah, bueno, que se guarda la explicación para la versión extendida. Me parece increíble e insultante esta jugarreta para ganar dinero.
No puedo soportar la interpretación de Elijah Wood como Frodo, con esas caras de retardado en las que constantemente parece que va a salir volando rodeado de margaritas y le va a dar un beso al llorica de Sam, otro que se cubre de gloria. Mejor se hubiese olvidado del papel de Sam y aun le recordaríamos con un poco mas de cariño en los Goonies.
Tremendo como se hunde al final la tierra tragándose a todos los Orcos pero dejando a salvo justamente a los buenos.
En fin como esto mil cosas, aunque también tengo que decir que hay algunas escenas que están muy bien hechas con unos efectos que sorprenden. Pero bueno, solo es mi opinión.

la gente ta flipa, the lord of the rings es la mejor pelicula q se ha hexo jamas de los jamases como diria manolito gafotas, es lo mejor del mundo mundial.q hagan el hobbit y el simarilion y lois cuentos inconclusos y todo lo q se refiere a jrr tolkien xq yo tare seguro en el cine el dia del estreno, saludos...
